// hi, my name is
3rd-year CS student at VIIT Pune. Technical Head @ ACM Student Chapter. I love building full-stack applications, solving hard problems, and turning algorithms into real-world solutions.
01 / about_me
Hey! I'm Vedant — a Computer Engineering student at Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, Pune, currently in my 3rd year with a CGPA of 8.62.
I serve as Technical Head at the ACM Student Chapter, where I've organized a national 24-hour hackathon with 1000+ participants and directed competitive programming contests at scale.
My work sits at the intersection of algorithms and real-world engineering — whether it's building a hackathon-winning ecosystem simulator using graph algorithms, integrating ML pipelines with live Gmail APIs, or constructing a full-text search engine from scratch.
Outside of coding, I'm a competitive programmer who's cracked 600+ problems on LeetCode and pushed ratings on both CodeForces and CodeChef.

03 / projects
Full-stack ecosystem simulator that visualizes food-chain relationships using Cytoscape.js. Applied Tarjan's articulation-point and cycle detection to identify keystone species. Built a sandbox with graph heuristics to model ecosystem disruption before committing changes.
Spam classifier (Multinomial Naive Bayes on Enron dataset) integrated with Gmail API for automated inbox scanning. Full ML pipeline from preprocessing to model persistence, secured with OAuth 2.0. Dual classification modes — manual text and live Gmail sync.
End-to-end search pipeline (crawler → indexer → API) with inverted index, BM25 scoring, field-weighted TF, and PageRank. Scraped and indexed 1000+ web pages using BeautifulSoup with configurable crawl depth. Added search suggestions, pagination, and per-query diagnostic score breakdowns.
